so was he working for the gangster all along or was he in fact a burglar ?.. it seemed to me his goal from the start was to frame the other guy with the murder of the gangster's ex.. now the thing that confused me was why did he get so nervous when he find out the other guy had slept with her ?.. wasn't he faking the relationship in order to get close to her and kill her ?
