is it true that ian kelsey (he played Dr Patrick Spiller in Casualty) is joining where the heart is?

He's a guest in one episode "Legacy" (7/31/2005) [#9.6] (details submitted to IMDB but not yet published).

its a shame that I don't, I really loved that episode, but I didn't get to meet him, so that's a shame too, I was at my friends when they were filming outside a junior school near us, I don't actually think he came, but I really miss Kerry!!

He's becoming a regular cast member as of this series, playing the husband of Shobna Gulati, who is a new nurse.

Yeah, he guest starred in one ep a few series back (I think it was anyway!) but he's now playing Nisha Clayton's (Shobna Gulati) husband and becoming a regular cast member from 13th of August. Their family come to Skelthwaite for a holiday to go back to Nisha's roots and take a break from city life, but we later find out that Nisha got stabbed about a year ago when she was working in a hospital in Sheffield. Her husband (Ian Kelsey) has already sent ahead an application form for her to take the spare nursing place which was left when Kim left this week, and Anna gives her the job so it looks like Ian will be in it for a while to come.
