There are moments of genius in this film, but it can be uneven and some of the plot turns border on the absurd. The ending is pretty cheezy and ultimately what began as an intriguing melodrama becomes a bit of a mess. 6/10

Anyway, I found the film to be melodramatic and absurd, not to mention ridiculously over the top. I also just generally don't like films that wallow in misery the way this one does, not to mention the end, which is among the laziest and most hit you over the head didactic things I've ever seen in a film. Finally, to actually answer your questions, I just figured I'd give a brief response summing up my very negative opinion and go from there if a conversation got started, which actually seems to be paying off for me after all these years.
