TV showing ruined the cinematography

I watched this last night on KMYQ (a MyNetworkTV-affiliated television station in Seattle) and it was shown in full-frame format. Many scenes were so "clipped" due to the aspect ratio (1.33:1 instead of wide-screen or letterbox version that maintains the 2.35:1 ratio) that the cinematography was ruined. My advice to TV stations, is that if they are even going to bother showing such a movie, at least show it in its intended aspect ratio. How hard is it to do that??

The movie looked horrible. Pure and simple.

I'm sure most viewers watching this on television don't care about proper aspect ratios. Which is precisely why they're panned and scanned.

..I'd go to middle earth and look for Unspoiled Monsters. Then move to the country.
