Blevins kept saying he was 16, but appeared to be more like 13 or 14. During that scene in the book, the Captain ordered John Grady Cole to lower his trousers and turn around. It would seem he was trying to verify their age by the hair growth on legs/pubes. That's when he told John Grady that Blevins "had no feathers", meaning he was probably lying about his age.

it was Rawlins who had to lower his trousers, he didnt want to so they smacked arcoss the back of his head.

Most are saying that it is because Blevins is too young to grow pubic hair. That doesn't seem right to begin with. He's old enough by far.

I believe he is saying that Blevins dosn't have any fight in him.

Watch any two birds fight, and you'll see what I mean.

Billy Thornton is a bona fide jerk who has no feathers on his head
and no brains either, nor talent if you will.
Let us say that the people who work for me will not allow him in my studio....he is that low.

You, bear022013-588-696101, gave the Wire a One rating?!! I am blown away by this!! This proves every single thing you post or have posted on IMDB is a complete waste of digital space and has no meaning whatsoever. A one?!!! You, sir, are a joke.
