Why would that disqualify a song from being in a top 5?

Most Gen Xers really hated that movie.

It comes off as elitist. Yuppies with great lives bitching about their problems.

Since the owners of the song took royalties from the movie, it makes the song unhip.

Really? I'm Gen X and I recall it being quite popular amongst my peers...In fact, it's number two on my "Top Five Movies That Take Place In A Record Store" list!

Oh, got it, that makes more sense! I only saw "The Big Chill" once back around the time it was released and never felt the urge to see it again...
