This vs Say Anything

For me, hands down High Fidelity is the winner. I thought it was engaging and entertaining the whole way through.

Say Anything - when I got done with it, I was left with this feeling of Why do so many people like this?

HIGH FIDELITY: 5/10
SAY ANYTHING: 6/10

Say Anything

I agree High Fidelity is the better film.
Say Anything has not aged well while High Fidelity is still a very good film.

BOTH are engaging and entertaining for me. Ultimately, Say Anything (a movie I wasn't even expecting to like at first) is the one I prefer. The believable love story in the latter is... lovelier than the one in High Fidelity.

You want something corny? You got it!

Huh. I don't feel as though these are comparable at all. I guess I would choose High Fidelity simply because I can relate to it a bit more at this time in my life. Say Anything is a great movie too but I always felt that while it was a decent portrayal of teenage feelings and teenage love that the characters were portrayed a little bit more maturely than the average teenager is.

John Cusack is what they have in common.

Like comparing Credence Clearwater to Pink Floyd. The only comparison is that the lead is played by Cusack.
