Its really good, with a different twist on the ending!

*spoilers for book ahead*
The ending at first goes along with the film, and Jericho dies & sees his family. They exchange the same 'happiness' as in the film.
Then, suddenly, Jericho is healed and is alive once again.
He is overjoyed to be alive, and have saved the world, but also he has the joy and heart 'peace' that his family is OK and he'll see them again in the afterlife.
