My favorite '90s "post-Scream" slasher

In terms of atmosphere at least. The New England college setting gives the film a cold and classic feel, and I think the characters and performances are all around watchable. Not to mention we've got Robert Englund, Brad Dourif, and Danielle Harris— all horror icons— in the cast. The killer is great, there is some clever writing, and the ending is just cheeky. Anyone else think this film is underrated as far as slashers go?

I agree with everything you said. It's better than IKWYDLS, if you ask me.

I prefer IKWYDLS

I love classic monsters.

This and The Faculty are tied with me, honestly can never decide which one I find the most fun!

In my humble opinion, this was definitely the best film to emerge from the post-Scream slasher revival. I think it's even better than any of the actual Scream movies.

There are things I enjoy about it over Scream, though I think Scream is definitely the better film. I've just always thought this movie was underrated and unjustly bashed because it rode in on the '90s Scream wave.
