Not only is Alicia Witt a terrible actress, but Natalie was such a bitch! :( I hate how she kissed Paul even though she knew Brenda liked him. And how many people died because Natalie was too stupid to pay attention, even though she knew a killer was on campus!?!

She knew there was a killer on campus, and tried to tell people, nobody would listen, the campus security wouldn't listen, the dean wouldn't listen, and she didn't know who the killer was, exactly what was she supposed to do?

Another overall lousy performance in this was Natasha Gregson Wagner. She was quite terrible :/. Figures her and Natalie were supposed to be former best friends in this .

shareDanielle Harris was the goth girl Tosh :). Natasha was Michelle the girl in the beggining, and the one who killed Brenda's boyfriend by flashing the headlights.
shareI'm watching it again for the first time in a very long time, and holy crap! I can't get over how awful Alicia Witt is in this. Every other person can act, or at least not stand out in terribleness. How did the director not stop her every few minutes and say, "Hey, Alicia, can you at least move your face a bit? You're using the same expression for every reaction."

shareI actually thought Witt was pretty good, if a bit on the mopey side. If anything, she gives one of the most solid performances in the series.

Rewatching this movie made me realize how bad of a hat acted Natalie was. I didn't hate her but she was very badly written and acted- the girl kisses her bestfriends crush, she mopes around all day like a lost puppy and she was just overall boring. Even Brenda (pre-reveal) was a much more likable character than her.
I would've much rathered Sasha be the lead.
Completely agreed. Damon actually may have worked too if he was less of an as-hole and more developed (gives more reason to NOT believe the practical jokester who pulled these stunts before) Then just off Natalie at the car scene. And remove him lying about a dead girlfriend to get laid. And in general overhaul his personality. Jackson's okay at acting, tho, so he can stay

Literally anyone could've been the better surviving lead besides Natalie lmaaaaao. And even if the character was still written as horridly as she was, maybe anther actress would've made me like her more. *beep* they could've switched Alicia Witt with Danielle Harris and gave Alicia the Tosh role and I would've enjoyed it much more

As for who I liked, Reese is obviously the main one. Sasha (Tara Reid playing herself, so not tooooo painful... Outside her fake crying in her death. And I like blonde ditzy types) Maybe Parker (Sasha's BF, thought he was amusingly douchey, and one of the better actors) That's kiiiiinda it. I didn't really mind Paul either, but he's fairly bland. Everyone else is some level of dislike. Except Gayheart, who I think is terrible but amazinglyy so
Harris isn't that good of an actress either, IMO. Her final girl stuff in Hatchet 2 is painful, and she's weak in SNE2
I liked a lot of the cast. Sasha was my overall favorite (it makes me wish Tára Reid's lifestyle & career turned out differently). Followed by Reese, Damon, Paul & Brenda.
Danielle's acting fluctuates depending on the roll I think. She was great in all of her Halloween films (including RZH1&H2), but in Hatchet I couldn't stand her(or her accent) or in SNE2 (but then again that whole movie was badly written).lol I still love Danielle regardless just for the fact that she's Danielle

Agreed on Danielle being great in RZH2 (she's inoffensive in 1 actingwise.... But no one impressed me there) As for SNE2, thought it was oooooookay. Katharine Isabelle was hilarious, and I liked the lead guy (Seth). Directing was okay too. That said, ending sucked. Kills were bad. And the victims beyond the two I mentioned were... Not so good
Danielle in Hatchet 2 is awful. Liked her more in 3, probably since her role was drastically reduced (thank God) Marybeh in general is a lame character. Why headline a horror comedy with the least comedic character?
I never saw hatchet 3, I saw hatchet 1 and didn't like it. Then I saw about 20mins of 2 but couldn't stand anymore and I thought 3 would be more of the same so I never checked it out.
SNE2 was a big disappointment. The first one was much better with better characters, kills and was just overall more fun. I liked Katherine Isabelle & the main guy was "okay" but they underused the Chelan Simmons (who's adorable) and the screenplay was all over the place. I much rather the first film
