It wasn't a rumor...she was offered it and turned it down because she doesn't want to be compared to Angelina Jolie anymore.

it really was a rumor. megan fox confirmed in an interview that she was never offered the role.

I've read in several places that she was quoted as saying she turned it down because she doesn't want to appear to be emulating Angelina Jolie. Kind of embarassing to be considered a second rate Angeline Jolie - I'd deny it too.

Megan Fox is supposed to be in everything these days, despite not being that great an actress. She's picked purely on looks, Angelina Jolie had both.

Agreed. I think that if a new Tomb Raider movie came out that featured Megan Fox, I probably wouldn't see just for that reason alone. :p
