OMG.. i watched this film (being a big fan of sarah micelle gellar).. OMG.. wat a waste of time! wat were the writers thinking when they wroute this! oly crap!! it was sooo bbaddd!

from what i remember it wasnt the greatest, but it wasnt that bad. It had a positive message to believe in yourself, but yeah I can see how some of the magic elements and things might turn people off. If they kept the fantasy elements down, maybe it would have been more marketable and more mass appealing.
