Next to 'Princess Bride', my second favorite movie

To start with, I love this movie, and I AM a "Hetero Male". (VERY HETERO) I'm just a sap for a happy ending. But to be honest, about 95% of my 150 or so DVD's are either action or horror, with the other 5% being a mix of comedy, animated (for my grandchildren mostly, but I enjoy them also), and very little straight up drama.
As for all you "I hate Sarah" people out there, you ARE entitled to your opinion, but a run of Seven years on Buffy, and numerous movies and television prior to and since which have grossed close to a billion dollars, if not more when combined says that you are in the minority, and we all know how minority groups have to be loud and obnoxious just to be heard. WE HEAR YOU, NOW SHUT UP.
Sarah's acting in this movie is on par with everything else she's ever done. The writing and directing, though not the very best is probably THE BEST for those credited with those jobs. (Just follow the links on IMDB for the writer and director) It was absolutely the acting that made this movie. To be fair, it wasn't just Sarah, but the whole ensemble, let's face it, just one bad performance can ruin a movie.
The bottom line is, it is a lovable movie with a nice fun story. However, the magic crab WAS a little weird. (Somewhere, someone referred to it being her mother reincarnate???, to quote Buffy from "Restless", I don't know where the he** that came from, because it was never implied that I could tell.) So yeah, it was fun and in my book, right up there with “The Princess Bride”, and anybody that didn’t LOVE that movie is just too cold and callous for me.
