i was just wondering if this is that movie when she inherits some magic earrings from her mother and whenever she wears them, she cooks really good food. if this isnt that movie, does anyone know the name of that movie since i saw it ages ago and cant remember what it was called.
shareShe does put on her mother's earrings prior to cooking really good food, but I think in the movie, her newfound cooking talent is attributed to the creepy crab that she buys from a man at the market in the beginning of the movie.
shareI think the crab is supposed to bring her comfort regarding her mother's death, and make her realize she was trying too hard. I think the cooking is mostly her, the magical stuff is the crab. If you notice, she kept failing when she was trying to fill her mother's shoes. But with a little magic on her confidence, she improvised the crab napoleon that turned out to be so great. She realizes that even though she isn't her mom, she still has talent and can do her mom proud in her own way.
