It's obvious SMG didn't like the film....She's not even
smiling on the vhs or dvd cover so maybe she didn't even enjoy making it from day 1 but maybe she was under contractual obligation.

She has admitted that she signed on impulsively before the script was ready. She has also said she personally was not ready to be in the movie. I personally love her in this movie, she's fantastic!
BTW, those pictures you speak of are stock/promo pictures from BtVS, look at her hair. They're from season 2.
Sarah signed onmto the film after only reading a first draft of the script when it was titled 'Vanilla Fog', and loads of changes were made but it was too late for her to suddenly back out.
