Just caught this again on tv.
What an excellent film!
The atmosphere of this film, the sheer dread and creepiness of it all. I love it. A very VERY bad guy too, so satisfying to see him get finished off at the end. For a film I purchased over 20 years ago I couldn't help getting sucked back into it.
Hollywood should've capitalised on this when they had the chance. Jeffrey Deaver's Lincoln Rhyme books are all there waiting. The Coffin Dancer would've been a worthy follow up to The Bone Collector. In this you see the character of Amelia very ably assisting Rhyme in cracking another serial killer case and I reckon it could be great if done right.
Anyway, great film.
