Did Frank meet or hear of Malachy again?

Does anyone know whether Frank met or heard of his father again?

Yes, he would get news of his father mostly through his brothers.

in Tis' he actually goes and sees his father and his father moves to new york if i remember correctly

He's dad doesnt move to New York, he goes to see all the boys and his wife ( Frank, Malachy, Michael, Alfie, and Angela were living there). He had a 3 week pass. Before Angela was able to decide if he would live with her or not, Frank goes out with his father and comes home drunk. So he goes back to Irland and Angela says that Frank had something to do with her desicion to send him back.

nevermind, misread it. Malachy Sr. had a three-week pass and visited NY although he didn't stay there very long.

Frank even attended his father's funeral. He had a great laugh during it. During Angela's funeral, Frank and his brothers bought her a cheap coffin and there was a lot of wierd mixed feelings invovled.
