just wondering why this is called 'angelas ashes'. watched the movie and still dont see why its called that
"CASINO ROYALE"- One Of The Best Films Of The Year!
The ashes from Angela's smoking cigarette after cigarette. The ashes she stares into night after night. The ashes of her dismal and dreary life.
Or so I've been told.
But I think that it was just a catchy title that Frank McCourt came up with for people to ask, "why is it called Angela's Ashes?"

His mother was cremated in Tis' (the second book) but the first book was more of a homage to his mother hence the title Angela's Ashes.
