Maybe I'm missing it, but I'm having a hard time finding out what it's about without wanting too many spoilers. I keep picking up the book and putting it back down...can anyone tell me without giving too much away?

It's about a big boat that hits an iceberg and sinks to the bottom of the ocean. Weren't you paying attention?

It's about a boy, the eldest, and the trials and tribulations him and his family go through in the poverty stricken Ireland. The story begins in his young childhood and continues to his adulthood. It's really a great movie and one of my all-time favorites.
