Angela in real life...

I seem to remember reading once that when the book came out that the real Angela was embarrassed and said that most of it was made-up or exaggerated rubbish. I thought that the story I read was that she walked out of the theatre during the movie's premiere, but she was long dead by the time it came out, so I might be thinking of a different mother from a different Irish true story. Can anyone help?

Well, from what I read I think Frank and brother Malacay performed a play called a "couple of Balggards" and it was during that show she attended she was pissed and stood up and yelled " that's not what happened, that's not how it was" or something to that effect and they actually yelled back at her to come up here and tell us what did happen then. She replied " I wouldnt be caught dead with the likes of you two.

I have read just about everything I could get my hands on after reading the book and seeing the movie. it seems alot of folks from Ireland were ticked off at his rendition of his life. Alot of people claimed he was not treated as he has claimed. I dont know if it is sour grapes on his part or Ireland's part or it is just how he remembers his youth. Sometimes you can hear 5 different stories from 1 account, so maybe it is just how he felt and not all of it was how it actually was. Some of it might be overinflated and some if it may be dead on true. Who knows.
