Porky Pig & Popeye
Does anyone remember the Porky Pig & Popeye Hour?
It was on early Saturday mornings,(following Bugs Bunny & His Friends),on Chanell 7 Buffalo,during the late 1970s.
The openning credits would show an image of the King Feature version of Popeye,next to an image of Porky Pig.You'd hear Popeye say"Ahoy boys and girls,this is Popeye the sailor man".Then you heard Porky Pig say"And this ubidty ubidy bidy bidy this uminee uminee is Porky Pig".The instramental theme that followed was a highly energetic jazzy tune.
The hour itself would show Porky Pig cartoons and the King Feature Popeye cartoons.
