Connor's early timeline?

So we all know that finding plot holes in HL is like shooting fish in a barrel, but it still bothers me when Davis/Panzer and crew make completely stupid mistakes that could easily be avoided if they only consulted what they had written and produced previously.

Case in point: Connor's timeline in Scotland

In the original movie...
1518 - Connor is born in Glenfinnen
1536 - Connor is is mortally wounded in battle and dies his first death
1541 - Connor is found by Ramirez

But then in Endgame...
1555 - Connor returns to Glenfinnen to check on his mother (and apparently has no idea that he is one of a race of immortals)

The first 3 dates were all from the original HL movie. Was it just too hard for Davis/Panzer to watch the original so they could assign a reasonable date for Connor's return to Glenfinnen, say anywhere between his banishment and when Ramirez found him)?

This doesn't affect the events of any of the possible parallel universes that people have proposed to deal with the other major inconsistencies, but it seems to show a very lazy attention to detail.

Where does it suggest he doesn't know he's part of an immortal race?

In Endgame, when Connor goes back to Glenfinnen, he sees how poorly his mother is being treated and how badly she's been neglected by the other villagers. He decides that he's going to take her back to live with him and Heather. As he helps her along, and they almost reach the door, Connor feels another immortal and reacts in much the same way as he did when he first felt the Kurgan, rather than handling it as immortals normally do when they know that they are actually sensing another immortal.

As Connor reacts to the sensation with shock and pain, his mother asks him what the problem is. He replies that he doesn't know but it happened ONCE before. Seconds later, Jacob Kell and company open the door and enter.

Watch the interviews on the DVD special edition. The producer is a dumbass. The director is a dumbass. The swordmaster is a dumbass. Adrian Paul is a dumbass. The cast (with the exception of Christopher Lambert and Bruce Payne) are all dumbasses. This movie was worse than Highlander 2. Give in. You know it's true.

This is a made for TV movie. At least Highlander 2 is a film. It's a failure (completely totally utterly undoubtedly), but at least it was a film.

And how do you take the franchise from the film star and give it to the TV actor? Ridiculous. Adrian Paul is a piece of *beep* with a pretty face and he's incidentally a terrible actor. Chris at least tries. He fails often. But he tries dammit.

The producer is the one that produced ANY and EVERYTHING dealing with Highlander. You just need to get out of your mother's basement and get a life.

Everyone in world is dumbasses but you... how saddening....

Your best bet... don't expect any Highlander production of any kind to have continuity you will just end up frustrated. On the other hand coming up with absurd explanations for even more absurd continuity errors is one of the biggest joys I have left in Highlander.
