Connor's Death
I thought there was a scene in the fight between Duncan and Connor where you see Connor looking over his shoulder with Heather as they are in the highlands.. Am I wrong about this? I coulda swore it was in the movie...

shareYou are right. He does look over his shoulder and sees the highlands and Heather. That part of the movie was the worst. I cried so much. I know Duncan had to do it to beat Jacob Kell but I was hoping in the long run he and Duncan could beat him....but I guess they did.
shareConnor is alive having won the prize in 1986. All sequels & TV Series take place in a parallel universe. The producers said this back in 1992 before the series started.
shareTrue. In the universe the series is based in, Connor did not win the Prize when he defeated Kurgan, he merely commenced the Gathering, having defeated a powerful Immortal. The series began with the premise that the Gathering is now and all Immortals feel the calling to end The Game and win the Prize.
Somewhere in the second season though, the urgency of the Gathering was dropped and instead of Duncan returning to the Game to win the Prize, he is merely trying to live in a world where there are others who want to win and must kill him to do so. So he just fights to survive, he doesnt count his kills and he doesnt hunt other Immortals.
The series doesnt even end with him, or any other Immortal for that matter, winning the Prize.
So Highlander 1986 continuation sees Connor win the Prize and lives out the rest of his days relatively peacefully - apart from the occassional "dude trapped in a cave comes back to kill him" story arc of Highlander 3...Or even more, if you choose to include in the continuation - "Connor lives to be an old man and is also an alien" story arc of Highlander 2. *shudders* I personally do not include Highlander 2 in the continuation...
Then theres the continuation of the series - based just after Highlander 86, with a little change of Connor not winning the Prize and handing the batton over to Duncan. I personally like to end the series continuation here, as Endgame messed too much series continuation up with the writers not doing their homework. I liked seeing Duncan and Connor together again and a good villain to boot but I didnt like the whole "Duncan getting married" thing and also they changed how Duncan met Connor.
Then there's The Source which is a further continuation of the series...but that's just rubbish so who cares anyway...
I have inside me blood of kings - YEAH!
