How were Duncan and Connor related? How were they family? Duncan didn't seem to know Connor when they first met?
shareConnor was born in 1518 and driven away from Glenfinnan in 1536. Duncan was born in 1592 and only knew about him from stories told in the village. They refer to each other as cousins but clan members doesn't necessarily have to be blood relatives to be part of a clan so any real relationship between them is speculative at best.
As to how they met differs from the series and Endgame, the latter as Duncan rose from the dead on the battlefield while the former happened later on. Highlander and continuity are two things that don't go hand in hand.

i wish the film made more effort to point out that kell was a macleod, i know it showed you that he was in the flashback but after that it was like he was just another bad guy looking for vengance when the plot couldve been more tailored as a 'macleod' looking for vengance.
shareThen there is the series' notion of 'foundlings'. Kell was adopted as was Duncan, Richie didn't know his birth parents either and there were other immortals in the series that were adopted as well. Connor is the odd one out but they've never said anything about him in that regard although as far as TPTB are concerned the foundling concept may be set in stone.... for now.
Then, they've probably all sprung out from The Source so they could be related on a completely different level.
