Connor splitting Kell into two people

I just read in the trivia section that in the original trailer Connor was supposed to cut Kell in half with his sword and thus Kell became two people. Holy crap! Now that would've been a fine mess, but might've been entertaining to watch!

If you watch the trailer, there were a few shots that made it appear as though the movie would have more fantasy elements, but those scenes were nowhere to be seen in the final cut and I believe they were never intended to be a part of the movie. They were just included in the ads to make it seem more exciting. It was flagrant false advertising.

in one of the trailers you see that little bit.
but the trailer advertised the film as being about the MacLeods facing off against a Highlander that had supernatural abilities and broke the rules of the Game. the trailer shows him using his sorcery against Connor.

i have the scene in full that shows Connor fighting Jacob Kell, in it Jacob gets cut in half. becomes a clone of himself grinning away at Connor. while the camera zooms in on Connor 's face as he takes a step back looking bewildered.

Also isn't there a scene where connor is falling so to speak through an eye or something - shouting "no"

It would have been awesome if Connor split Kell in two, and then have the final swordfight between Connor, Duncan and the two Kells. Then Connor and Duncan would have a double Quickening, and both would live in the end.

This isn't the first time Dimension Films shot scenes specifically for marketing purposes that have nothing to do with the story or otherwise would fit into the story. Shot purely for marketing. And yes, that's deceptive.
