Why was Rachel being mean to Sue?

When Sue Snell (now the guidance counselor) was trying to help her, Rachel rebuked her and said, "Lady, you are seriously bat sh*t!" Why was she so rude to her if she was trying to help her? The character Carrie from the previous movie seemed to be a nicer person.

Because outside of her powers Rachel was a normal High Schooler, and Carrie. . Wasn't.

So you're saying that normal high schoolers are b*tches?

Sue WAS being sneaky and kinda rude afterall, even though she had the best intentions. Rachel was not a b*tch. She was reacting agressively as anyone would have in her situation. Carrie could never find the courage or allow herself to express or even feel those kind of feelings. As the movie went by she started to "evolve", until she completely flipped during the climax and lost any control over her powers. Rachel had more control. She did what most of us would have done in her situation, with those abilities.

Oh, Toto, I have a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore.
