During the party attack scene, when Rachel Lang murders almost everyone there, where those supposed to be veins or vines coming out of her skin? I mean, if they were supposed to be veins, they definitely looked like vines, lol.

They were vines. Apparently her telekineses caused her tattoo to grow all over her body (she had a tattoo of a heart tangled in vines on her arm).
