No she didn't. He took the picture. You can see his arm stretching out to hold the camera in front of them. Was that just a mistake in the script or was he keeping that little detail to himself for a reason?
I noticed that too. I think he kept it to himself because he really liked her but didn't want his buddies to know, so he said she took the picture to make her look like the interested one.

No, I do not think Eric liked her. He, along with a good portion of those other kids, were friggen sociopaths. Especially those girls, I think their names were Monica and Tracy.

I thought he liked her, because of the way he smiled when he saw her arrive at school and the look on his face when his friends made fun of her. But because he wants to live up to his father's expectations and impress his friends, he just went along with the lie that he thought she was "just a pump" to save his own ass.
