i posted this on the board for the new carrie movie but...
Is it me, or did the new Carrie movie steal a scene from this one? I'm talking about the scene at the prom when they showed footage from the shower scene.

Can't say if it was stolen. I just assumed they were trying to import some 2013 into the movie.You make a point.
The girl got her rocks off on posting iinappropriate videos of carrie, so didn't think anything of the video at the prom.
Mmm, it's similar, but nowhere near stolen. There was a reason they put that scene in the new Carrie: the book mentioned the connection in Carrie's mind at least between the shower when she got her period and the "shower" of blood at the prom. The video linked them just as Stephen King did, plus it gave the film the unique 2013 touch.
