Did his male organ get blown off ?

SPOILER

I mean Eric's (Zachery Ty Bryan). Did the mean girl blow his you know what off with the gun and it fell into the swimming pool? Is that what happen? Is that what I saw? (In the uncensored version it shows it for a few seconds.)

It happens right after the mean girl's glasses explode. Which was really cool by the way.

That's how it looked to me. That scene made me go "Ugh!" And I'm a woman!

This movie was just too graphic for me. Everyone seemed to majorly overreact to everything, even for teenagers!

"I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus."
"Didn't he discover America?"
"Penfold, shush."

reply

Overreact? He had his dick ripped off and pulled though his lower back. How would you react if that were you and your vagina was ripped out and then through you?

How would you have reacted if you had seen a girl jump to her death in high school?

You're reactions to the things that happen in this movie would be no more subtle.

reply

Its a movie not real life, chill. Obviously someone isnt going to have the same reaction

reply

Yup. That was his part of his noodle and meatballs floating in the pool.

I wasn't referring to overreacting to the violence. I was referring to the overdramatics of most of the cast. A girl jumps to her death because a guy dumped her?
A girl kills a roomful of people because someone taped her having sex?

Well, to be fair, stuff like that does happen in real life. When you're a teenager you're experiencing lots of things for the first time. Some teenagers committ sucide because they're gay. What about that college boy who killed himself because somebody videotaped him having sex with a man? And remember this movie came out around the time of Columbine. Those kids killed themselves and their classmates because they felt angry and rejected by their peers. This girl didn't just walk into a room and kill people because someone videotaped her having sex. She walked into roomful of people she thought were her friends, people she trusted, only to be humiliated by them with a sex tape of her and a boy she thought really liked her. Her telekinetic ability combined with her enormous hurt and rage in the heat of the moment made everybody fair game.

reply

Exactly.

And honestly, I've never cared what the critics have said, I like this movie - a lot more than the original. The original seemed drastically different with the ending, whereas with this one it felt more organic, and the ripped from the headlines plot with the jocks, it just made me feel for Rachel's character even more.

reply

Fiat, are you joking? Those people didn't just tape Rachel and Jesse having sex, they pretended to be her friends. Then they told her one of the few people she absolutely trusted slept with her as a joke. Then they acted like her best friend's suicide was FUNNY. They deserved to die.

Lisa obviously had some major problems with depression, and Erik's suddenly cruel rejection pushed her off the deep end. He didn't just dump her, he put her down, telling his friend Mark that he'd told her she was "just a pump, a nut", didn't mean anything to him.

reply

Let's not get that grapic; at least he died fast. The harpoon knifing his organ would have killed him alone. I hope.

reply

Because it hangs down, I don't think it got pulled through his lower back. It just got supposedly severed off and then shot through the back of his shorts . . . Supposedly . . . I mean the whole things was dumb. For one thing it would more than likely just make a hole through it, not cut through it and then rip it off. Next, he wouldn't die from that or or at least not that quickly. It was really just a moment for feminists to get off on seeing a male sexually mutilated. I've noticed that seems to be a staple of these little "feminist" moments in movies, that a male must be killed by having his genitals destroyed (sort of makes them seem like really sick individuals.) They do this even if it makes no sense. Even in The Revenant there is a part towards the end that makes no sense whatsoever and is clearly in there just to touch on a "pro woman" element. Why males being castrated is somehow "pro woman" is beyond me . . .

This movie on a whole is just really lame. The original is far better from all production angles. I think it is the first time I've read CGI effects look "organic . . ." LOL!!!

"Why males being castrated is somehow "pro woman" is beyond me'

You are the one making the claim that it is supposed to be a pro woman element. You are basically creating a strawman then asking why it is the way it is.
