was the barney thing ever blue? and it had yelllow belly?

no. it was always purple. and had a green belly.

Supermodels...spoiled stupid little stick figures mit poofy lips who sink only about zemselves.

No, that was one where he was more purple (though not quite Magenta yet). He was a bluish-purple in the early Backyard Gang videos though, but he still had the green stomach

The ones where barney was blue were my all-time favorite episodes. I don't know why, but i used to love him that way.

He was blue initially. They changed him to purple because purple showed up better on film.

He always was purple (a bit more purple in the Backyard Gang days then now), but he may appear blue in some shots (as well as an almost black color), due to the blue screen that they used in the original BYG videos.
