Going out on a limb here

As an actor, Sophie Marceau puts in the best female performance in any Bond movie.

Not the best looks or most intense.

Just best all-around acting. A real person, not a cardboard cut-out.

Nuanced, evocative, dangerous.

Fire away!

I do think the same. When they said they wanted better scripted characters for this film, Marceau absolutely delivered and stood out from the rest. There are a lot of little things I admire in her performance, f.e. the evil smile she puts on after she shoots Zukovsky in the tower.

I agree. I can't think of a better one, maybe Vesper Lynde in Casino Royale....at least close, or on par.

Definitely agree with you on her acting being the best in any Bond movie. However, I disagree with you saying she's not the best looking. For me, she is the most gorgeous woman ever to appear in a Bond movie!

I think Tanya Roberts had the best female performance in a Bond movie in A View to a Kill
