shareagreed, one of my fav's
shareYeah, i just finished re-watching it again just now (Aug 16th 2015(my previous viewing was Jan 20th 2013)) and it held steady. it's 6.7/10 average is definitely too low as i think the low 7's should be the minimum score for it's average.
in fact, it's within my Top 100-ish movies ever. it's my 2nd favorite Johnny Depp movie to behind Blow (2001)(9/10). i give The Ninth Gate a solid 8/10. basically it's the general mood/atmosphere of the movie which helps sell it. also, it's definitely the directors best movie to.

it's definitely the director's best movie too.
Criminally so. It's a great movie.
Please allow me to introduce myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste
It's among my favorites that I enjoy re-watching frequently too. Even just on an aesthetic level, I enjoy the mood and the playful interactions between Corso and Green Eyes. Nice touches of subtle humor throughout. Enjoyable on a deeper level as well.
shareagreed 100 % very underrated
shareOne enjoyable and intriguing movie. While not as dark as I expected (the subtle humor works), I find its approach to the subject matter quite interesting. Also, I really dig how stylish and atmospheric it is.
You want something corny? You got it!
It has a great ambience. One of the best mystery films.
shareOne of those films I’ve seen many many times yet always find myself drawn into for another viewing.
Yeah, I find it very rewatchable. I've seen it numerous times over the years and every now and again I feel compelled to revisit it.
It's such a powerful trait for a film to have. It's the X factor that takes a great film and makes it a favorite film.
