I think it's great! It seems true, and I hope it is, because I don't want to get all that in my mind, knowing there is intelligent life out there, only to find out it's all fake! I feel sorry for that family (and Matthew) if it really happened, and I hope they're ok, wherever they are, but I hope that that isn't a big set-up man! It best not be! But great film/documentary!

Thank you for the link - and sending me back to Memory Lane! Seriously! It's bookmarked!

I remember watching the hour long UPN version, which didn't scare me a bit. But thanks to this, it's so nice now to see it in its lovely, unedited state (though it would have been nice to hear the swear words, but that's just me). I still remember the UPN version and how badly edited it was, so this link helped me to tell the correct "order of things". As a matter of fact, I just referenced this in a paper for my film class, actually. But, only two words that assure me it's fake: Kristian Ayre, who plays the "cameraman" and son, Tommy McPherson. I've followed his work for 10 years now and this remains one of my favorite roles from him.

So, don't worry about Tommy. He's alive and well - and still gorgeous! I'd still love to own this on DVD!

wow it was good wating this when i was a young boy i was scary as *beep* but as soon as i knew it was fake it was still scary as *beep* when the alien walks past the window when every one is sitting down to dinner and it takes about a min for him to relise what has happened. this is what would happen with me i dont care if it is fake (i know it is) this is a good scary film

are you completely stupid? let me guess, your one of those people who thought that the blair witch project was supposed to be real footage found on a camera, and oh, the authorites happend to let them show it in cinemas to millions of people. yeah.

this film is fiction its just shown from the perspective of the camera that the boy is using. why do people think because something is shown from a camera held by a character it must supposed to be "actual" real footage. this astounds me how stupid some people can be. the film itself was too bad tho considering the budget.

(yeah, and the fact that the eldest brother was in stargate is a bit of a give away too)
