did anyone notice...

near the end when they see the guns in the truck, you can see the alien costume under the seat?

HA HA, yeah. Did you notice when what's his name shot the alien through the door, the shotgun blew a perfectly round hole in the door? *sarcasm* Yeah, that was realistic. *sarcasm* I don't think it's a bad film mind you, I just think if he had been holding a bolt action rifle, and the hole was a tad smaller, that scene would have been a tad more realistic.

And I just think that if your knowledge of guns didn't come from first person shooters then maybe you wouldn't think it was that unrealistic.

At that range a shotgun like that wouldn't spread too much at all.

reply

but it would still be spreaded bro. the hole was too perfect.

reply

Maybe too perfect but not too small. You might be thinking of what a shotgun with a shorter/cut off barrel would cause. Shotguns are used for land mine disposal and obviously they need to be somewhat accurate because you can't blow up a mine from a few feet away, thus creating a small hole from short range as in the movie.

He wasn't told to make a movie as real as possible. He wanted to make the most realistic ufo abduction movie ever made since the begining. And he succeeded, But UPN's internal problems (Paramount bought UPN and removed the staff to put theirs) caused his masterpiece work to be lost to UPN which turned it into trash.

Thats not an alien costume. It's a plastic bag.
Same stuff that is on the floor of the car when they first go into it.
