does anyone remember that version very well? the ending was scene where the alien was in the room with the boy but i think there might have been some different scenes all together. wasn't there a segment where he was looking through the house and couldn't find any of his family? can anyone list the main difference between the UPN version and the 90 minute version?

I vaguely remember him frantically looking through the house for everyone in that version but no real details. The ending in the 90-minute version where the aliens show up at the dinner table to confront the remaining family members was not in the original broadcast.
The interview segments with the "experts" was in the UPN version.
Your day could be worse
I remember the ending as being the boy went running around looking for his family and freaking out (this was having ME freak out) and ending up in his room. My memory wants to say that he closed his door and turned around, screamed and the alien's face came into view then it was like BOOM CREDITS.
I have not seen the movie since so I don't know for sure if that's how it went 100%. I'd like to see the end again to compare but I admit, the movie still gives me the willies. LOL
I've been looking for this for a decade. I have no idea where to find it but I remember all of those details. There were different actors as well though I believe the setting was the same. The non-family characters were not in the plot.
I need more details!
