Substance over Style
I'm a big fan of the books. When the Lynch film released on the silver screen I saw it twice and brought my own VHS copy when available. I also own a Smithee DVD which I shan't disparage - much. Ages ago I saw the Sci-Fi Channel version on TV. It wasn't until I brought my own DVD copy that I began to appreciate the depth of their production. Sure, Sci-Fi Channel doesn't look as slick (or filmic) as Lynch, but it does approach the level of political intrigue we book lovers appreciate. Do you feel the Sci-Fi Channel version better represents the book? Comments welcome.
