Its OK, . . .

This was an adequate rendition of Dune. Since the book is so thick, a longer mini-series version is better able to adapt the material than a 2 hour movie. Regarding the miniseries: great cinematography, some of the sets and effects were a bit cheesy, though they do a great job on the worms. The acting was mediocre (though I really enjoyed Ian McNeice's performance!), and Graeme Revell's music is uninspiring at best (can't hold a candle to Bryan Tyler's score for Children of Dune). Its an OK watch, and worth it if you're into the genra, but not the kind of thing you'll want to watch again and again.
