The trailer for the film shows the german captain speaking english. He says "they'll send every ship in the navy to destroy you".

Now, I never saw the german captain speak english in the film.

Hah! Good catch!

It's probably a deleted scene. But strange nonetheless, as the german captain does not seem to speak any english in the film.
