Would you recommend to watch this show if one enjoyed "Oz"?

I just finished watching "Oz" tv series. That was an awesome show. Great acting and storylines. I'm curious to see if "Sopranos" is worth watching seeing that a lot of the characters from "Oz" went on "Sopranos". Is it pretty similar in terms of acting/storylines?
