Why isn't Eric McCormack billed on the DVD cover?

Will and Grace was a pretty damn popular sitcom. Shouldn't the cover have had his name and Shatner's on it?

Because the movie was released one month after the sitcom began.

The DVD jacket was designed from the movie poster.
