This is one of those movies that seems to hit all the wrong notes. A couple of somewhat normal guys (maybe a little too much into memorabilia, like a lot of people are) have to constantly put up with weirdos who are helplessly sheltered from any and all forms of entertainment and think that if you actually enjoy TV, movies, books, comics, or whatever, you're helplessly pulled into a land of dementia. My advice to the guys: move to a small town, with nice people who aren't snorting too much.

fair enough, but the movie itself is just a small enjoyable movie which may not be the greatest movie in the world but i am sure lots of people can see what the characters in the movie are going through. plus to see William Shatner rapping to Shakespeare, well, i don't have anything to say about that.

I enjoy seeing Eric McCormack in anything, so I'll say that first. The movie itself, I feel, appeals mainly to Trekkies, of which I am not one. I didn't understand a majority of the references. It seemed like this movie was one big litany of pop culture references, with a weak plot thrown in. Further, most of the humor seemed peurile at best.

I recognize that others (primarily Star Trek fans, perhaps?) regard this as a brilliant, witty, funny film...but I don't see it. The best thing I can say for it, is that Eric McCormack played the perfect consummate won't-grow-up pop culture nerd. He even looked fantastic while doing it.

I didn't know it was suppose to be a comedy.
I though this was just a geek-drama. Needless to say, I enjoyed it.

How much of the movie did you understand?? Get any of the in-jokes?? Do you identify with any of the characters?? How many times did you view this movie? Grow up in Los Angeles? Ever dream of being in or making a film??? How many films per week do you view?? How old are you??

My guess is that you answered all of the above questions with a "no" or a "very seldom". By the way, there is a HUGE difference between your Post Title and your comment. The Post Title is legitimate, your comment is simply not true.
