Did you mean "Two people really get laid that much?" or "Do people really get laid that much?" I'm sure the answer's "yes" in both cases, though. Especially in the land of make-believe.

Yeah people do get laid a lot in real life. But this movie is really stretching reality, making Star Trek fans to be this super cool people that just happen to have a sci-fi hobby. Trek fans do get laid, but usually not to models and such ridiculous crap.

Yeah I had a little "suspension of disbelief with that one. The fact that Robert was able to get one night stands with hot model/actresses and have three ways with his buddy. Of course the characters were good looking and not geekish, but still I find it hard to believe this guy is going to get a girl to come back to his apartment for sex without talking SF with her, and as someone pointed out elsewhere, that kind of stuff is a major Babe Repellant.

Don't be so sure. A good friend of mine is practically the Robert character in this movie, to six decimal places. Pardon my French, but he used to get more bush than a Japanese gardener, and he had more Trek uniforms in his closet than actual clothes.

Geeks *do* get laid, especially if they exude boyish charm, and happen to look like Pierce Brosnan.

For some reason, Capt. I have a feeling I know who your friend is, and he could have well been the model for Robert, if Robert hadn't actually been the model for Robert.
