It's when Steve is trying to hit on Ben Affleck's fiancee by singing an old song of their's, Against All Odds. He was giving it everything he got, trying to have a sweet moment and she was having none of it. When he finishes he's like:
"You remember that song?"
"Yeah!!!"
(Pause)......."I thought so".
I thought it was hilarious. David Strickland was a funny guy....
It's times like this I'm glad I'm on a message board & not about to say this in person. That was my favorite scene of the entire film on Friday March 19. 1999 when I went to the theater to see it for the 1st time, it still is over 6 years later. I can still remember how I laughed. I can also remember how I almost cried when I went back to it on Wednesday March 24, 1999.
There's only 1 thing about that scene that irritates me, aside from the obvious & it's not even really about the movie, but about how TNT & TBS & any other tv station that shows the edited version cuts most of that scene out.
And am I the only one who wanted the fiancee to end up with him instead of Ben? Just thought I'd ask, if for no other reason than to lighten the mood a bit.

Yeah, i guess it could of been better if the fiancee ended up with David Strickland. He was alot more likeable than Ben Affleck's character. Anyway, i thought the scene was brilliant.
