I have a question about movies where grown people are stuck somewhere and cannot get home, even with credit cards and money and phones to call people.

trains, planes, and automobiles did concern the elements. the reason that the plane had to reroute and land was because of a snow storm.
there are quite a few similarities between the two movies. the main being that the main characters in each travel by plane, train, AND automobile. And one character is crazy and the other is a tightass.
... I personally still wouldn't 'link' the two, though...

Forces of Nature was originally a remake so you have to link them.

There's another flick with a guy trying to get back to his wedding with a pretty girl's help, and she becomes his "bachelor party."
Movie was from 1988, "It Takes Two."
Much closer than "Planes, Trains & Automobiles." Almost ripoff-close, except that movie was pretty weak too so who cares
