It Happened One Night

Has anybody else noticed the uncanny resemblance this movie has to the 1934 Clark Gable movie, "It Happened One Night"? (URL = http://imdb.com/title/tt0025316/) The storyline is incredibly similar (though the gender roles are switched). If you haven't seen It Happened One Night, you really should - even if you're not into old movies. It is still very funny and stands as one of the best movies ever made.

Omfg you are so right! Wow, never really noticed that before! Nothing is original anymore. When they're re-making adventure in babysitting with Raven Simone, someone can shoot me...OH WAIT!

I LOVE "It Happened One Night", one of my favourite movies of ALL TIME! So I definetly need to check this one out, however Sandra Bullock is HARDLY Claudette Colbert. Charlieinfinite, if you liked It Happened One Night have you seen The Palm Beach Story? Its a very wacky similar movie that you would probably love as well.

There is an actual remake of 'It Happened One Night' ... the 1956 'You Can't Run Away from It'...starring June Allyson and Jack Lemmon...

Hey thanks for pointing out Night had a remake. Never came across it. Hasn't really been shown in NYC area tho Night gets a summer play a lot of years on PBS and local channels.
Both Night and Palm Beach Story are tremendous fun. Right up with the best -- Some Like It Hot, Thin Man series, Front Page, Born Yesterday and the like.
While Forces of Nature has crummy ratings here (5-6s mostly are dogs), a couple of the reviews gave it some props so on a rainy weekend could be worth a peek.
Being a fan of the leads also adds to possibilities. And it was made in a beautiful are of coastal S.C.
Speaking of the oldies like Night, time for PBS to play some of the goodies again. Three in particular. W C Fields, Big Broadcast series, and Busby Berkeley musicals.
