Mediocre

This movie had good actors (Affleck, Bulloch, Danner), but they could not save it. The limp script and weak directing were too much.

In general, I would watch anything with the adorable Sandra Bulloch in it, and she was as cute and charming as ever. But the script was just not very funny. I blame all of this on the director. She showed a poor sense of comic timing. The performances in general were very anemic. Affleck in particular looked like he had figured out early on what a turkey this was going to be and desperately wanted to be somewhere else.

This was also the worst acting I've seen by Bulloch, who has done well in other comic (and dramatic) roles.

It's passable but I agree is let down by a weak script that just has the characters play things out in a lame retreaded version of Planes, Trains and Automobiles. I didn't think the acting was too bad, more every thing played out so predictably, except arguably the end.🐭
