Has anyone noticed that the film on DVD looks different? It has like darker, gloomier colors in the film rather than a normal colorufl look like on the IMDB pics. Is the DVD look of the movie different than what it originally looked like in theaters?
Yeah I noticed that.. the IMDb pics are really bright. But I thought the look of it in the film itself was great.. It was kinda dark, but in a beautiful way.
I need to go on pretending... until the end... with you.
I disagree with dgates64. I don't think it was the fact or matter of producing. However, if it was, it made the movie very cool and original in format compared to other movies. It draws attention because its different. Every scale of the movie was constructed where the colors were enhanced on clouds, a moon, on water (the pool), etc to promote nature. That's how I saw it. The actors were the mere elements in nature's coat. Very amazing and quite interesting.
The one good thing about this movie is the unique and gorgeous cinematography. Saw it when it first came out and its the great look and Savannah locations that I remember.
The night scenes were extra gloomy but in a lovely way. The black were black and the colors popped, making it look like an Instagram; sort of capturing the road-trip aspect of it... like everything was grubby and kitschy.

Good little film. Why? Sandra Bullock.Nogunfights.No inner city gang bangers. No overwhelming, viva Mehico hate America messages. No filthy language or obligatory sex scenes. The hip hop soundtrack portions were nauseating, but hopefully this fad sound will drift away. Missing were strong male character roles. n Not a tremendous flick.........just ordinary fun.
