Sequel or Prequel?
I was wondering if this movie technically takes place before or after the first Casper movie. It kind of seems like it takes place before, but I'm not quite sure. If anyone knows, then please tell me.

The reason why I kind of think that it's a prequel is because at the end of the movie, just before Casper and Wendy go their seperate ways, Wendy says something to Casper about how he will probably end up meeting some other girl, and he'll forget all about her. Also, it seems like Casper would have mentioned if he had met Kat before Wendy.
shareI think it's just another Casper movie that is totally unrelated to the first. Notice that the actress that played Carrigan in the first was also in the second--as one of wendy's aunts.

This is a prequal.
shareThey did the same in the Dollars Trilogy with Clint Eastwood. An actor played two separate villains in the first and second. In the second, a different actor played Eastwoods partner but in the prequel (3rd Film) that same actor would play Eastwoods enemy who is a separate character. I think it's a Prequel
