why did desmond go after wendy?

desmond isnt very very smart and he doesnt listen very well. he could have avoided the whole thing by never even going after wendy. at the beginning the mirror that she befriends a ghost while in exile. she never would have went into exile if desmond spellman hadn't gone after her so he set up his own downfall. not very smart if you ask me.lol. just noticed that tidbit after watching it this last time. never noticed it before

I would be worried if he was a witch lol, nevermind being better than her.

But yes, the part about desmond creating his own downfall is true, and that idea, as you may already know, has been used by J K Rowling in her Harry Potter Novels, with the evil Lord Voldemort creating an enemy of Harry.

I think it is a self fulfilling prophesy. It doesn't specify until the end she will be friends with a Ghost but will find an abnormal ally. A lot of bad guys do this. Even the bad guy in the Conan movies is guilty of this. Not only does he kill off the family of Conan when he was a kid, but puts him in a place where he grows up to be really strong and learns to fight.

Yep if Desmond hadnt made Wendy an enemy she wouldn't come after him and like her aunts remain scared of him.
